Road to Hana

5 hour drive there, 5 hour drive back.. and so worth it.

The Road to Hana is filled with amazing views-- waterfalls, vast valleys and rocky cliffs. That's not including the numerous pit stops proclaiming to serve the "best banana bread in the world" and that arboretums filled with amazing plants and birds. We got chased by wild mongoose (mongeese?) outta the jungle.. and ended up at the incredible Seven Sacred Pools.

Ventured on down to hippie town, also known as PAIA, for some shoppppin! Unfortunately most of the stores closed early, but we'll be making another stop there tomorrow. I saw the most gorgeous body chain/harness that I'm dying for.

My mama called me up this afternoon and was like, "Hey Chels.. you'll probably like what I'm wearing today.." And I just kind of laughed it off.. like right mother.

First, you've gotta know that my mom and I have THE BEST relationship and we like to share clothes (more like I take her clothes and she never see's them again..) Anyways, she's always impressed with what I can whip up off my bedroom floor (I think) and claims she would never be able to rock anything as funky/stylish.

BUT, obviously she was wrong.. cuz here she is lookin' like a stunnnnna! AND, she brought home some uber chic, beachy, long skirts. Hehe, thanks mother. :)

Feelin' Trashy

No judgement here, but I'm about the let you all in on a little secret.. and probably embarrass myself, but I have no shame.

So all I wanted to do after school was to be narcissistic and take pictures.. but my mother wasn't home yet, so I opted for Photobooth on my MacBook. Since photos inside never come out as enticing or beautiful as the one's outside, I went on a little adventure-- to my backyard. I'm not sure if you realize how difficult it is to find a solid location with a decent background AND that is the right height to take non-crouching photos at.. but it's definitely not a piece of cake.  I was searching ALLL over, tried everything and ended up resorting to the trashcan. No joke, the trash can.

Yup, told you, I have NO shame. I was taking silly ass pictures sitting on a trashcan, with my laptop positioned on the other one. But hey, the 90's could make a comeback.. grungy was in in, right? HA, cute.

Anywho, I downloaded "Flare" the other day.. so bare with me while I go through a "hip photographer" stage and apply the finishes that I so adore to my photos.

OH, and I had to find out from FACEBOOK that my younger brother has a girlfriend. That is NOT okay. He couldn't walk the whole 2 feet to tell me or even mention anything about her? Yeah, thanks bud.. 

Lastly, my room floor is COVERED in paint palettes and drying t-shirts right now. One of my friends is running for ASB President next year.. and since my campaign shirts were so successful last year he asked me to help out with his. And I definitely don't mind! :)

So far I've got this dreamcatcher design and on the back it'll say something along the lines of  "So and so will make your dreams come true! Blah blah for ASB President." And don't worry, I'm already well aware of how corny that is.

Oh yeah, don't think I've mentioned it on here before.. ha, but I was voted ASB President last year all thanks to my cheetahlicious shirts, heheheh.

Yeah.. I was in a hardcore cheetah phase at the time..
