(indian princess? i was playing dress up, ha..)Returning home, I did my research and found that it's not just a valley girl thing, but they've been popping up across the country. Mainly college towns in Colorado & Oregon, but due to blogging and companies selling the feathers to salons they're definitely going to become more popular.
They typically run at salons anywhere from $25-$50, depending on how many feathers you get put in. The one I have right now is a single "bulk" that consists of 6 multi-colored feathers. They come in a variety of colors ranging from neutrals to neon pinks and greens.
Oh, and did I mention you can wash, straighten and curl them?! YUP! They're supposed to last about 4-6 months, depending on care.
Clip in feather hair extensions are being sold around the web.. but I'm not really a fan, clips can be extremely annoying and harder to conceal. These ones are bonded to several strands of hair with a crimping bead that gets smashed with the crimping tool. It only takes about 5 minutes to put in and will grow out with your hair (or you can slowly remove it.)
A bunch of girls were asking me where I got mine today and I'll be making a bulk order purchase tonight so I can supply them, and put in more for myself!
