take a walk on the wild side

hey you, yeah, YOU, are you ready for coachella? or are you still trying to figure out what to wear/bring with you? Look no further..

I have literally been drooling over ALL the pieces in this California girl's shop.  Corina, the designer, whole heartedly believes that fashion should be a direct reflection of one's self-- therefore, she strives to create unique pieces for every individual. She makes anything from feather extensions, to bone necklaces/headbands/belts.. a true Native heart.

I cannot get enough.. Oh and heads up! If you like Wild & Free on Facebook you'll get the PROMO Code for her SALE this weekend! Woooooop, I'm down.

Oh and she's got an absolutely incredible photography page.. take a look, it's well worth it.

"What we have here is a dreamer..

someone completely out of touch with reality." Anyone else read the Virgin Suicides? It was one of my favorite books in 8th grade.. Anywho, that quote seemed to fit perfectly with the dreamcatcher (dream catcher? one word or two?) tee's I just finished up!

Here's the lot of them:

PS. Giveaway is starting TOMORROW! (or well.. today, seeing as its 12 am)

Feather Hair Extensions

During my trip to Valencia, my best friend introduced to me feather hair extensions. She said a bunch of hair stylists in the valley have recently been wearing them and I instantly fell IN LOVE. So ya know, I just had to get one.

(indian princess? i was playing dress up, ha..)
Returning home, I did my research and found that it's not just a valley girl thing, but they've been popping up across the country. Mainly college towns in Colorado & Oregon, but due to blogging and companies selling the feathers to salons they're definitely going to become more popular.

They typically run at salons anywhere from $25-$50, depending on how many feathers you get put in. The one I have right now is a single "bulk" that consists of 6 multi-colored feathers. They come in a variety of colors ranging from neutrals to neon pinks and greens.

Oh, and did I mention you can wash, straighten and curl them?! YUP! They're supposed to last about 4-6 months, depending on care.

Clip in feather hair extensions are being sold around the web.. but I'm not really a fan, clips can be extremely annoying and harder to conceal. These ones are bonded to several strands of hair with a crimping bead that gets smashed with the crimping tool. It only takes about 5 minutes to put in and will grow out with your hair (or you can slowly remove it.)

A bunch of girls were asking me where I got mine today and I'll be making a bulk order purchase tonight so I can supply them, and put in more for myself!

HELLO TREND for 2011!
